| PARTICIPACIÓN ESTUDIANTIL EN LAS UNIVERSIDADES REGIONALES: ESCENARIOS PARA CONTRIBUIR AL DESARROLLO LOCAL Y REGIONAL |

Carolina Muñoz Horta RESUMEN La primera etapa de trabajo del programa “Semillero de Jóvenes Talentos Regionales”, de la Red Sinergia Regional, denominada análisis situacional, tuvo como objetivo caracterizar a los grupos estudiantiles y a la estructura institucional de soporte a iniciativas estudiantiles presentes en las universidades que integran la Red Sinergia Regional, con el fin de identificar líneas de acción estratégicas que se implementarán a partir de las demandas y recursos de los actores involucrados y las posibilidades y objetivos de la Red. La información se analizó a partir de cinco mecanismos de recolección de información y en el estudio participaron como informantes 29 agrupaciones estudiantiles, 19 Direcciones de Asuntos Estudiantiles y 12 informantes claves (autoridades universitarias, académicos y líderes estudiantiles), todos pertenecientes a las 20 universidades de la Agrupación de Universidades Regionales de Chile, AUR. Para una mejor comprensión de los resultados, el estudio ofrece una caracterización tanto de las estructuras institucionales de soporte a iniciativas estudiantiles, como también de las propias agrupaciones estudiantiles. Además se presenta un análisis de percepción de ambos grupos sobre la participación estudiantil en el contexto universitario. Palabras clave: Participación estudiantil, sinergia regional, articulación ABSTRACT The objective of the first stage, called situational analysis, of the program “Seedbed of Young Regional Talents” (Semillero de Jóvenes Talentos Regionales), of the Regional Synergy Network (Red Sinergia Regional, RSN), was to characterize the student groups and the institutional structure of support to student initiatives that are present at the universities integrated to the RSN in order to indentify strategic lines of action, which will be later implemented based on the requests and resources of the involved parts and on the capabilities and goals of the Network. The analyzed data was obtained from five information retrieval methods. The informants were 29 student associations, 19 Student Affairs Offices, and 12 key informants (university authorities, academics, and student leaders), all of them from the 20 universities of the Association of Regional Universities of Chile (Agrupación de Universidades Regionales de Chile, AUR) For a better understanding of the results the study shows a characterization of the institutional structures of support to student initiatives as well as the student associations. It also shows a perception analysis of both groups about student participation in the university context. Key words: Student participation, regional synergy, joint |
